About the Role
The Company is in need of an Interim CIO / IT Assessment Consultant to lead a comprehensive evaluation of its current technology environment and provide strategic recommendations for future IT operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a thorough assessment of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications, including a detailed analysis of costs, redundancies, and end-of-life technologies. This role also involves evaluating the existing IT organization and staffing model, reviewing core IT processes, and validating the organization's IT strategic plan and risk register. A key focus will be on assessing the security and compliance posture, with a particular emphasis on readiness for a HIPAA Security Rule risk analysis. Applicants must have a background in a Director Level position or a similar role, with a strong track record in conducting IT assessments and evaluating technology environments. A broad knowledge of infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, IT operations, disaster recovery, and IT governance is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating IT organizational structures, assessing technology strategy, and developing practical, prioritized recommendations. Experience with security and compliance frameworks, particularly in the healthcare and HIPAA domains, is highly preferred. Strong executive communication and written documentation skills are also required for this interim position.
